50 Songs I Enjoyed Catching Up with in 2025

While I don't follow music nearly to the extent that I do film, I still enjoy discovering new-to-me tunes and keeping track of the ones that stick with me throughout the year. I put this together rather impromptu last year, but this year, it was in the back of my mind from the start of 2025, so I had an extensive list drafted and had a hard time whittling it down to just 50. Much like last year, a lot of the music I discovered came from films I watched in 2025 or from artists who I first discovered through a film. This is a combination of new and old songs, but I'd consider all of them to be "first-time listens" from the year 2025. I did institute a "one song per artist" rule so as not to overwhelm the list with just a few artists.
